Don’t Waste Your Time Away
When you become aware of your body, you’d always want to look good. This means that you have to be mindful of what you eat and do every single day. This does not mean that you have to completely give up those sinful treats that you sometimes crave for. It’s simply a matter of knowing when to have them and how much you should take. Feeling better starts with the food you eat. The majority of
your meals should be made up of healthy carbs, lean meat, and lots of fruits and vegetables. Chocolates and junk should be avoided as much as possible. If you start craving for something, you can allow yourself to indulge in a bite or two. Never overdo things when you cheat or else all that effort goes to waste. Plus, you won’t feel good about yourself after.
Always Go Healthy
If your body is so used to getting only healthy meals, the junk and sweet will make you feel bloated. You will regret what you did and you’re actually increasing the risk of suffering from health problems in the future. Be aware of what you feel yourself, and most importantly, never forget that old adage, “a moment on the lips, forever on the hips.” As overused as this is, this simple phrase has resonated all throughout the years because of how accurate it actually is. And as you get older, you can’t always bank on your impossibly fast metabolism. The bigger you are, the harder it is to metabolize the calories you consume, and that’s because your body fats aren’t as good at processing calories as your muscles.
And to gain more muscles, you need to come up with an effective exercise plan. Start lifting weights when you hit the gym. Don’t just stay on the treadmill or on the stationary bike while you’re there. Cardio exercises are there to speed up your heart rate and increase metabolism, but only for the moment. What happens the moment you rest? Work on bulging up or increasing the muscles in your body. Isolation exercises can do wonders for you at this time. No matter at what stage in life you’re at, weight lifting is always a must.
For a Better You
As you work your way toward a healthier you, you’ll notice that you’re also able to do more. Strenuous activities are no longer as challenging because your body has been primed to live an active life. Just be sure to know when to stop. Push yourself hard but realize that your body also has its limits. Just start by concentrating on one area of your body when you hit the gym. The next day, you can focus on the other area. That way, you don’t strain your muscles all at one time. As you get used to the routine, you can shake things up a bit by increasing the intensity of your workouts or by doing another activity that targets these same muscles. As you become leaner, you’ll soon realize that you don’t gain weight as quickly.
