P90X for Women

Is P90x for women?  This is one of the top questions I get regarding this popular workout program.  In the following paragraphs I’ll provide reviews for the P90X system, it’s main benefits and features, and more importantly, does P90x work for women and is it effective.

The P90X system has been a huge success since it was first released in 2004.  Many years later, the program continues to be a best selling system with countless success stories from both men and women.  It is still considered by most to be the best home workout program.

Does P90X Work for Women and what can a Woman Expect

One common misconception is that P90X is a program more suited for men, but this is far from the truth.  More and more women are using this system and transforming their bodies.  It doesn’t matter if you are are a stay at home mom, or a new mom trying to lose some post-baby pounds, P90X will work for you!

A big concern is whether the program will bulk a women up and build huge muscles similar to that of a body builder, but you don’t need to worry about that.  The program uses a variety of training phases so your body doesn’t get used to the exercise routines.  P90X builds sexy, lean muscles!

The DVD set does a great job in showing you how people with different body types and sizes can have success if they stick to and follow the program.

Yes, it is an intense program, but that is how you will get your physical transformation.  All you need to do is tailor the program to fit your own needs.  For example, if you have trouble in the beginning with some of the exercises, all you have to do is lower the number of reps, or lower the weights, etc.  The important thing is that commit to the program.

So what is P90X?

P90X or Power 90 Extreme is a 90 Day extreme workout system for the home that was developed by Tony Horton.  For those of you not familiar with him, Tony has been a personal trainer/fitness guru his entire career.  He has released a series of home fitness programs that centered around cardiovascular and strength training.

In 2002, he set out to create an extreme fitness program for people who had already experienced some level of fitness so they could take it to the next level.  For the next few years, He experimented and consulted with various fitness experts to come up with 12 different workouts based on a training concept called “muscle confusion”.

Power 90 Extreme constantly challenges your muscles so that your body does not get used to the routines and the workouts.

P90X comes with 12 DVD workouts that will last a period of 13 weeks.  The system is a 6 day program that combines strength training, yoga, cardio, stretching, and plyometrics.  Plyometrics are explosive exercises designed to improve the functions of the nervous system.

What you need to get started:

Other than the P90X program that comes complete with the DVD Set, you will need the following equipment which you can easily find at your local Walmart or Target stores:

-a pull up bar

-a set of weights (an adjustable weight set works great)

Here are just a few P90X reviews for Women:

“A great all around workout”
-By Leslie

“Apparently you are never too old for this program”
-By M. Gorichs

“I use to always quit workout plans…Not Now!!”
-By Manders

I think most would agree that P90X for women is the real deal.  The key to seeing great results with any program is to stay committed and try it for the entire 90 days.

The best place right now to buy P90X is from the Official company website.  Why? because the company provides a 90 Day Money back guarantee.  This means you can try it for a full 90 days and send it back if you don’t see any results.

The company also offers 24/7 support and you can request and get connected to a coach with a fitness group online.  Your shipment will be sent quickly and the company stands behind their product.
