What socio-economic factors would influence the choice of a healthy diet?
And how would this dietary impact relate to Coronary Heart Disease?
I’ll tell you what
a pack of hot dogs is cheaper than a pack or boneless skinless chicken breast,
if I got a faimly to feed, and I am poor, I am getting the most food for the least money,
I can’t serve fresh veggies
If I serve veggies, they are canned ( with all the salt and sugar)
the food that is good for you, is much more expensive.
And I can’t afford it,
I know that it causes me to gain weight,
and to have heart problems,
but Those problems are in the future,
not having enough food for myself, my children,
that is an immediate problem
they use fillers, fat, salt, sugar to make the cheap foods taste good,
and so my diet is filled with fatty salty, sugary things.
